Mobile Content Deals: Video, Ringtones and Games

Mastercard will sponsor a series of Mobisodes from Fox. Based on a popular TV series, Bones: Skeleton Crew will be 26 Mobisodes that will be distributed exclusively on Sprint from this week, with wider distribution planned in the future. In addiiton to ads, “Fox will also integrate MasterCard card products into Mobisode storyline wherever appropriate”.
JumpTap has added travel information to its mobile search service. The company has signed agreements with AccuWeather, AP Digital and FlightView that include weather, news and travel information.
Greystripe has added seven publishers to its ad-supported mobile game portal, GameJump.com. The publishers include Most Wanted, Mobile Amusements, Watagame, Orange Pixel, Tracebit, Fugu Mobile and Gameleons.
Navio Systems has had its content locker service certified for Verizon. “Now Verizon data subscribers can purchase mobile content such as ringtones and wallpapers from any Navio web and mobile site, receive delivery of that content to their Verizon handset, and have the charges applied directly to their Verizon bill.”
UK company Yamgo has launched a mobile TV channel dedicated to extreme sports entertainment. “Yamgo TV works on over 60 different mobile devices through the ROK TV service and is available in the UK, USA and China and will be available shortly in other countries including Thailand, South Africa and Malaysia.”
Warner Music International has teamed with Televisa to offer mastertones in Mexico, via Televisa’s online portal Esmas.com.
Verizon has added a spanish-language children’s channel to its VCast service — Sorpresa!
