RCR News: The Mobile Marketing Association expects to release updated guidelines for mobile advertisements this week. “The 18-page document, which is targeted at wireless advertisers as well as network operators and content providers, addresses both text and WAP ads as well as mobile e-mail and multimedia messaging service marketing campaigns. The guidelines require advertisers to identify themselves, for example, forbid deceptive ads and recommend image sizes depending on the display of the handset being used.”
Apparently the Interactive Advertising Bureau is also looking to create guidelines for mobile advertising, which could make things confusing.
