Online wedding and post-wedding online media firm TheKnot reports its Q3 numbers and its profit surged more than fourfold, helped by the acquisition of WeddingChannel.com.
Net income jumped to $3.3 million, from $722,000 in the year ago quarter. Revenues rose 41 percent to $18.5 million from $13.1 million, with approximately $1.5 million of revenue coming from WeddingChannel.com. Online ad sales climbed 35 percent from the year-ago quarter, while merchandising revenues increased 25 percent. Publishing and other revenues grew 24 percent.
