Updated below: So we heard through sources at the Web 2.0 conference…Release 1.0, the original and influential newsletter about technology, founded by Esther Dyson, which was bought by CNET couple of years ago, has now been sold to O’Reilly Media, the organizers of this conference. From what I know, Esther and her business partner Daphne Kis will no longer be involved with the new incarnation.
Updated: The newsletter will be renamed as Release 2.0, and Dyson will leave CNET by the end of this year. She will continue on as an active investor…
