Gary Flake, technical fellow at Microsoft’s Live Labs, is on stage at the Web 2.0 Summit showing off Photosynth, the cool photo stitching and surfing 3D modeling software for which his group had released a demo video in August. It’s now available in “technology preview.” Flake says Virtual Earth 3D is like static canvas, and this will allow everyone to overlay their photos. Photosynth looks very cool and we are looking forward to playing with it later today.
