Updated below: This is interesting, mainly from an investment angle: Intel has launched a ” Web 2.0 Business Internet Suite”, aimed at small and medium businesses, where it is bundling a bunch of Web 2.0 companies’ services…the bundle has been developed by Intel Capital, the venture arm of Intel, and includes software from some of the media-tech solutions companies we cover here: Socialtext (wiki software), Six Apart’s Movable Type (blogging software), Newsgator (RSS reader) and Simplefeed (RSS distribution). Also, Intel has invested in all these companies, though the amount was not disclosed.
It has wrapped them into a single sign-on software, through direct sales from Intel, but also via partners like Dell and NEC, Intel Capital
