Rajshri Media To Launch Video Portal

Close to the heels of the release of their new film Vivah, the Rajshri Group has announced that it plans to launch an online broadband portal. Ravichand Nallappa, COO of Rajshri Media, the Rajshri Groups digital arm tells Business of Cinema that the portal will host content like feature films, TV shows, music videos etc. The report also says that Eros International has tied up with International Network, a subsidiary of Comcast, for VOD in the US.
I think it would be better for studios to host their content on neutral content aggregator sites, and give up a little margin for greater viewership. Will other studios allow Rajshri Media to host their content, or will Rajshri host content from a competitor on their site? I think it will be difficult. A content aggregator would attract greater eyeballs simply because of the variety of content available, and possibly its neutrality. Which Indian portals currently host online video content? I know of Indiatimes, Sify Max, and soon to be launched – AOL India. Any clues yet on what kind of content AOL India will host? From what I hear, it will be targeting the kids.
