Different Age Groups Have Different Game-Buying Habits

NPD Group has released a US study pointing out the different things that influence different age groups when buying mobile games. “Those aged 13-17 cited free trials as the biggest factor, 18 to 24 year olds said they were influenced by game title, adults in the 25 to 34 category cited positive reviews, and consumers 35 and older cited price as their top rationale.” They go on to say that most people prefer to have a certain comfort level with a game before forking over money for it, hence the best-selling titles in the US are Tetris, Bejeweled, Pac-Man and Diner Dash.
