Here is a new fund that is looking at investing in early stage ventures in India, Singapore and China. Upstream Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, has launched a $80 million fund for investment in emerging technology enterprises in these three countries. Christened Upstream Asia Enterprise Fund, it will capitalize on the equity gap for early stage funding, a statement said. It will invest in sectors such as: Internet and new media; wireless and telecommunications; IT software and solutions; and semiconductors.
Upstream has a team of investment professionals in Singapore, China and India.
