Slingbox beta for Mac goes public

Slingbox_tuner_1Just in time for those new MacBook Pros with Intel Core 2 Duos comes the Slingbox public beta for Mac OS X 10.4. I would have told you sooner, but those sneaky Sling folks shot me the press release at 12:10 this morning! The beta is only open in the U.S. and Canada, and the software is a Universal Binary so that the PowerPC folks aren’t left in the cold. If you don’t have your Slingbox yet, I noticed that Amazon has the new Slingbox Tuner on sale at the time of this writing for $149.99 ($30 under MSRP) with free shipping. (Affliate Link)

Between the new CPUs, sneaking in pre-draft 802.11n wireless and now Sling support, I think a MacBook Pro just got added to my wish list!
