Go2, which provides local search, directory and movie guide information over mobile devices in the US, has received $13 million in funding from Geosign Corporation, an online publishing and marketing company based in Canada, and its affiliates. The funding is intended to provide Irvine, CA-based Go2 additional capital and other resources to continue expansion of its network and local search and directory information websites.
Geosign and go2 will work together to combine their respective content and technologies for mobile web and online services and content, the companies said in the release. Go2 recently did a deal with Yahoo, whereby Yahoo’s sponsored search listings are featured in go2’s mobile search results.
