Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who made close to half a billion dollar worth personal wealth after selling of BPL Mobile to Essar, is now eyeing media in a big way. Chandrasekhar, who has floated an investment vehicle called Jupiter Entertainment ventures (JEV), has picked up 51 per cent in Malayalam entertainment and news channel Asianet Communications. According to media reports, the investment could be in the range of Rs 120-150 crore. The stake has been acquired from NRI businessman Reji Menon, who, along with Zee Group and Managing Director K Madhavan hold about 49 per cent stake. Zee Group holds 3 per cent stake in Asianet.
