The Economic Times reports that the 23 new Boeings that Air India has ordered will have digital audio and Video On Demand in the upper and business class sections. They’re buying the Thales TopSeries system – 23 inch screens for first class, 15 inch for business class and 10.6 inch screens for economy class.
Air India had earlier bought Thales’ systems for their Boeing 747’s as well, with smaller screens. This release reveals that the current TopSeries order is worth $70mn, and the order for the 747’s was for $35mn.
