So says a story in eWeek…the alternative Java mobile OS firm SavaJe, which recently did a $41.5 million recap round, might be close to throwing in the towel. “The company, which employs about 140 people, had furloughed its developers and some other employees early in October, asking them to use up their vacation time or go on unpaid leave while SavaJe moved to find its way out of its financial troubles.”
The company has raised nearly $80 million in total VC funding since its 1999 inception.
