BellSouth has filed what is probably its last financial report before it is swallowed by AT&T, showing some pretty good results. “For the third quarter of 2006, BellSouth’s consolidated reported revenues from continuing operations were $5.2 billion, up 2.9 percent compared to the same quarter of 2005. Income from continuing operations was about $1.1 billion, up 29.6 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago.” Erosion of the landline business was offset by strong wireless results from its 40% stake in Cingular, which reported last week. Here is the PDF of the results.
