AOL May Kick Off India Operations Next Month; Hires Yahoo’s Deepak Karambelkar

We reported first about AOL’s planned entry into India. Now it transpires that the US-based Internet giant is expected to kick off its India operations from November 15. AOL India has hired Deepak Karambelkar from Yahoo! India as the content head. Its India operations will be headed by Maneesh Dhir. The India entry is part of AOL’s launch in some 35 countries. The online company is expected to launch all of its content-related products and services in India. As of now it only runs a back office out of India.
