Industry Moves: AOL Vet Mike Rich New VP/GM For Music, Radio, Television; Erik Flannigan Leaving

AOL is making a change in the operations of its branded entertainment areas … Erik Flannigan is leaving the company; he was VP-programming for AOL Music, AOL Radio and AOL Television. The redesigned position seems to mesh ops and programming more as Mike Rich becomes the new VP/GM of AOL Music, AOL Radio, and AOL Television effective this week. His responsibilities include programming, products and overall business strategies for the four sites. He will report to Bill Wilson, SVP-programming, and will continue to be based in New York. Rich has been at AOL since 2001 and is moving over from VP-AOL programming products and operations.
Flannigan, who was based in LA, was supposed to be on a panel at Digital Hollywood Monday but didn’t make it.
Update: Online Media Daily is reporting that Flannigan is on his way to Viacom, where he will help lead the digital side of Comedy Central and Spike TV.

Erik is a great guy, but hasn't done anything interesting since Mr. Showbiz. I'm sure he'll end up as a VP somewhere else, punching the clock.
