AOL is making a change in the operations of its branded entertainment areas … Erik Flannigan is leaving the company; he was VP-programming for AOL Music, AOL Radio and AOL Television. The redesigned position seems to mesh ops and programming more as Mike Rich becomes the new VP/GM of AOL Music, AOL Radio, Moviefone.com and AOL Television effective this week. His responsibilities include programming, products and overall business strategies for the four sites. He will report to Bill Wilson, SVP-programming, and will continue to be based in New York. Rich has been at AOL since 2001 and is moving over from VP-AOL programming products and operations.
Flannigan, who was based in LA, was supposed to be on a panel at Digital Hollywood Monday but didn’t make it.
Update: Online Media Daily is reporting that Flannigan is on his way to Viacom, where he will help lead the digital side of Comedy Central and Spike TV.

Erik is a great guy, but hasn't done anything interesting since Mr. Showbiz. I'm sure he'll end up as a VP somewhere else, punching the clock.
