BitTorrent Content Site Delayed To Next Year; Asian OME Deals

BitTorrent’s efforts to transform itself from Web outlaw to solid corporate citizen have hit a delay, according to BusinessWeek.
Executives in the pioneer of P2P video downloading say they pushed back the launch of a new content site, which had been planned for this summer, to next year. The company’s official reason? “The services that have launched are not getting any advantage for being early, in fact they’re getting blasted for not getting the product right…We want to do better.”
At the same time, the company has announced agreements with Asian hardware makers including ASUS, Planex, and QNAP, makers of routers and servers…these companies will include BitTorrent’s software in several of their new products
