Motricity has reorganized itself, resulting in the loss of some jobs. “The mobile-entertainment company has grouped employees by customer type and appointed three general managers to oversee the efforts. The change will push decision-making and responsibility for profit deeper into the organization.” Out of 400 employees less than 10 full-time employees and 15 contractors will lose their jobs, including Gary Cohen, senior vice president of global sales, who will leave the company because his responsibilities will shift to other leaders. Motricity CEO Ryan Wuerch said the move was to “make sure we were fully optimized”.
