Audio and video content delivery network VitalStream has been acquired by Internap Network Services, which provides networking and datacenter services, for $217 million in stock. Both are public companies traded on NASDAQ.
Irvine, CA-based VitalStream mentioned earlier this week that Q3 revenues would range between $6.9 million to $7.2 million, up about 80% year-over-year. But the company cautioned that MySpace, which will kick in a third of VitalStream’s Q3 sales, might pursue in-house streaming capabilities. VitalStream expects to make $25 million to $27 million in 2006 revenue and projects 2007 sales to range from $38 million to $42 million. Lots more detail in the release here.
