Turner Broadcasting: Greg Foster, who joined Turner when the company acquired Southern Direct, has been appointed VP-corporate Development and is heading Turner New Media Investments. The team, responsible “for guiding strategic investment and M&A activities supporting Turner’s product-development agenda,” is part of the Turner New Products group led by David Rudolph. Foster was founder and CEO of Southern Direct, which developed ecommerce extensions for linear cable channels.
iFilm: It’s just being announced now but Lowell Goss, former senior director-usability experience for Yahoo, has been working at MTVNetworks’ iFilm as SVP-user experience and product development, since September. Goss was at Yahoo in various user-experience roles for three years.
ArtistDirect: Jonathan Dolgen, former chairman and chief executive officer of Viacom Entertainment Group, is advising the online music company with an initial focus on piracy protection. ArtistDirect owns anti-piracy service MediaDefender. Release. (via Variety)
