CityVoter Gets $1.1 Million Funding

CityVoter, a Cambridge, MA-based developer of online city guides for media companies, has raised $1.1 million in first round funding led by Tudor Ventures, reports PE Week Wire.
CityVoter essentially builds a directory of local businesses and gives each local business owner a free area to upload photos and information about their business. Then it allows users to vote on the businesses. It intends to partner with one newspaper, TV, or magazine in each city. Some examples are: www.CBS4Boston.com/alist and www.WUSA9.com/alist.
