Viacom’s Redstone Not Bidding For Facebook

Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone has ruled out bidding for Facebook, he told U.S. journalist Charlie Rose in a televised interview, last night. He then talked about losing MySpace deal to News Corp., and then true to form and blamed it on the ousted CEO Tom Freston.
“We would not consider Facebook…We looked at it. The price is too high.” Redstone dodged questions on whether Viacom was interested in buying YouTube. “It’s a very good company”… was all he said.
