Release:
SanDisk, maker of USB flash drives and MP3 players that can challenge the best-selling iPods, is expanding its distribution network in India in a big way. The company plans to distribute its MP3 players, mobile phone cards, USB flash drives and high-performance digital imaging cards through some 2,000 stores in the coming weeks. It plans to boost that to 14,000-plus by the end of 2007. It would initially concentrate on India’s 12 largest cities. The company has tied up with Ingram Micro, a world-leading distributor, and India’s Rashi Peripherals for distribution in India.
