Social Media Management Firm Neighborhood America Acquires MOVO Mobile

Neighborhood America, a social media technology and content management firm, has acquired Movo Mobile to expand its ability to collect public comments for various projects, including social networks, through mobile devices.
The Naples, Florida-based company specializes in gathering citizen input into projects such as the development of the Ground Zero site in Lower Manhattan, the Flight 93 memorial in Pennsylvania, and others, and has moved into the media field over the last couple of years. It has worked with ABC and CBS to gather user-generated videos for ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’s Early Show as well as suggestions for CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric’s nightly signoff line.
Sarasota, Florida-based Movo’s team will now join the parent company. Financial terms of the deal between the two privately held companies were not disclosed. More details about this here and here.
