Ask.com: Business Development Manager, Syndication – New York, NY

Ask.com/IAC Search & Media is seeking a business development manager for its search syndication partnership team. The business development manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing new syndication partnerships. This position will primarily focus on partnerships with online publishers and large traffic websites. If you are an agile self-starter with a history of success closing deals and an ability to think on your feet, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Prospecting, sourcing, negotiating and closing profitable syndication partnerships
Maintaining strong and positive client relationships
Providing feedback to the product development team on market wants and needs
Monitoring and communicating updates on assigned industry verticals
Day to day liaison with sales, finance, legal, and product management
Professional Skill
Proven experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships with senior-level executives
Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills
Solid analytical problem-solving, financial modeling, and deal structuring skills
Ability to thoroughly negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to close agreements
Ability to react quickly and communicate clearly throughout negotiations
Driven and adaptable with a strong teamwork focus and ability to work with minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment
Technical Skill
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong financial modeling skills
Ability to easily summarize complex issues
Strong understanding of Internet business models
Detailed knowledge of Internet media business and competitive landscape
Required Experience
3-5 years Business Development, Senior Sales Manager, or Senior Account Manager experience with successful track record closing major accounts at Internet Company or offline Media Company
Undergraduate degree
MBA preferred
