NBC Denies Looking For Wright’s Replacement

NBC CEO Bob Wright has denied rumors all of his early departure from the company, and says that they were created by rival News Corp. The story was first reported in New York Post, owned by News Corp., so that doesn’t help. Among the names that the NYP story mentioned include Jeff Zucker.
Anyway, the rumors will keep on until Wright leaves, one way or the other. On replacement, I would have my money on Beth Comstock, the head of NBCU’s digital businesses… she is “a long-time Wright lieutenant and adept in top GE politics”, as an industry observer mentioned to me.
