MTV Networks: Vice President- Research & Planning

[MTV Networks Research & Planning]
The [MTV Networks Research & Planning group] has an opportunity for a Vice President.
Reporting to the EVP, MTVN Research this individual will help field primary research, collect and distill research fielded throughout the company,
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
— Establish & maintain ongoing market intelligence utilizing secondary research
— Help field market research projects supporting any initiative, for digital, for ad sales, for corporate, etc, such as:
—- Ad Effectiveness across multiple digital platforms.
—- Awareness, usage, behavior, attitude, of new and emerging technology platforms, including: VOD, Wireless, HDTV, Media Time Shifting, and Internet Applications.
—- Research on social networking, user generated content, etc
—- Evolution of perception of brands across platforms and distribution models
— Analyzing syndicated sources to uncover new trends and opportunities.
— Work closely with internal MTVN communications team
— Assist in coordinating with brand research teams when updates are needed to inform corporate communication.
Specific skills and requirements include:
— Bachelor degree or higher.
— 7+ years of relevant market research experience.
— Questionnaire design and execution.
— Knowledge of digital platforms and linear TV
— Familiar with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen Media Research, Forrester, Jupiter, MRI, Gartner, etc
— Self starter and highly proactive.
— Ability to work independently and within a team striving towards a common goal.
— Strong project management skills.
— Strong communication skills
— Strong presentation writing skills
