CNET Networks is seeking a Director to manage business development for its Entertainment division, which comprises the leading interactive brands GameSpot.com, TV.com and MP3.com. The Director will be responsible for strategic planning and market analysis, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, negotiating and executing agreements, and ongoing partnership management.
Applicant must have five to seven years of experience in business development, consulting or strategic planning, preferably with a focus in entertainment media (video games, music, TV, film). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital and traditional media, including key participants, market drivers, business models, content production and programming. Applicant must also have a deep comprehension of the key accounting and legal aspects of partnership agreements.
An intimate familiarity with the CNET Networks Entertainment sites and a passion for popular entertainment is a strong plus.
BA/BS or equivalent training and experience required.
MBA preferred.
