IAC Consumer Applications & Portals is seeking a business development manager for its private-label partnership team. The business development manager is responsible for generating new business for IAC’s leading consumer portals and search products, and for maintaining and upselling existing client accounts. This position will focus on partnerships with Internet Service Providers, computer manufacturers (OEMs), and other categories as assigned. If you are an agile self-starter with a passion for closing deals and the ability to pivot on a dime to meet a client’s needs, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting, sourcing, negotiating and closing new deals for our private-label portal platform
  • Maintaining strong and positive client relationships
  • Upselling existing clients on additional revenue-generating products and features
  • Providing feedback to the product development team on market wants and needs
  • Monitoring and communicating updates on assigned industry verticals
  • Day to day liaison with sales, finance, legal, product development and management.

Technical Skill

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong understanding of Internet business models
  • Understanding of Internet media business and players in the space
  • Basic understanding of ad serving and tracking technologies

Professional Skill

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Able to focus on the details while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Solid negotiation, analytical problem-solving, financial modeling and deal structuring
  • Strong teamwork focus, work ethic, and ability to adapt to change. Must be able to work effectively with all departments including sales, marketing, legal, product and engineering departments
  • Being proactive and the ability to present new ideas effectively are important skills required for this role

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years Business Development, Senior Sales Manager, or Senior Account Manager experience with successful track record managing major accounts at Internet Company or offline Media Company
  • Undergraduate degree.
