OPA Members Report Online Ad Revenues Up 28 Percent For Q3

We picked up on the latest IAB/PWC online ad spend predictions on Monday, but there’s some informal survey results from the Online Publishers Association that tie in too. These haven’t been formally published but basically OPA members, which include just about everyone from ABCNews.com to The Weather Channel, reported an average year-on-year online ad revenue growth of 28 percent for Q306. That’s slightly above the 26.8 percent growth forecast by Veronis Suhler Stevenson earlier this month, though that included web-only sites as well as traditional publishers online. OPA members across the board report Q3 figures ahead of Q2 projections, and see no signs of a slow-down in any particular area.
eMarketer will add its own figures tomorrow including a prediction of a $16 billion ad spend total for 2006 – that represents a phenomenal 26.8 percent growth. It forecasts that growth levelling to 15.1 percent in 2007 and to a more sustainable 6.8 percent in 2010.
