HP: Senior Manager – Business Development (Online Digital Media) – U.S. Major City

As a senior member of the business team, your focus will be on working with business development, marketing and program management teams and senior cross functional managers at merchants & retailers in bringing to market innovative online digital entertainment services.
You must have:
-Strong understanding of the media and entertainment industry, its pain points, the players in the industry, and the value chain.
Ability to operate broadly (thinking across the digital entertainment and online video value chain) and deep into business and general technology issues.
-Ability to credibly represent HP DES to senior level business and program executives at key HP merchant/retailer customers
-Facilitation skills to:
Organize, drive and follow up on issues and actions necessary to move retailer / merchant relationships from early stage business development activities to online service launch and ongoing account management.
-Ability to work with retailer / merchant sponsors to align HP’s plan of record service offerings and timelines with merchant needs and also to establish and maintain business metrics and monitoring for services.
-Ability to establish account review processes with senior management at both merchant/retailers and HP, including management of a business scorecard.
-Ability to manage several partner / customer relationships with distinct requirements, issues, business models, and service solutions
Your profile:
Currently located in a major U.S. city with easy airport access; and willing to spend 30%-50% of your time at key customers (e.g., merchants / retailers)
MBA or equivalent advanced education or business training
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in one or more of the following: media & entertainment industry, management consulting, high tech – new business ventures (e.g., start-ups) – particularly online consumer services or eCommerce.
Good understanding of information technology, web-based services, and digital media
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Demonstrated skills in developing and managing programs with business customers involved in complex solutions. You need to be able to wear many different “hats”
Strong business analysis skills, a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and get the “job done” across a range of general business areas, including the ability to manage several partner / customer engagements and relationships from the inception phase through to deal execution.
