AOL: The Program Manager, Product Strategy & eCommerce

The Program Manager, Product Strategy & eCommerce plays a crucial role in defining, communicating and executing product and merchandising strategy for AOL’s Entertainment properties, including AOL Music, Moviefone, AOL TV and AOL Radio. Working closely with various divisions of the AOL Audience business and other leading entertainment companies, this person will be responsible for bringing key products and media purchase/subscription options to life.
Responsibilities include:
– Leading process to define and execute new product initiatives across the Entertainment categories, working closely with programming, product, bus. development, media networks and project management teams
– Day-to-day management and development of strategic partner relationships
– Development, execution and tracking of merchandising/marketing plans for eCommerce initiatives
– Reporting on ongoing eCommerce and product metrics – proactively developing plans to improve performance
– Coordinating market research initiatives to help evaluate success of current products and define future development opportunities
Skills/Qualifications:
– Previous experience in online retail, or developing user experiences conducive to purchase/subscription
– Strong skills as a diplomat – keeping people engaged and motivated while driving toward goals
– Ability to thrive in a position that combines both creative/strategy and operational duties
– Account Management and/or Business Development experience
– Self-starter who can work with minimal direction
This position can be based in Los Angeles or New York, and will require regular travel between the two.
