Vodafone NZ will reportedly launch a mobile social networking site by mid-October, although the telco isn’t releasing details. Most of the article is taken up on whether putting a social networking site on mobile phones will make it more dangerous for children. From my point of view, while it’s harder to monitor a childs activity on mobile phones it’s easier to restrict membership to people who have been positively identified, avoiding anonymity.
