Mobile games are likely to split into two industries — low cost casual games and high cost hardcore games, but carriers are losing interest, according to this article.
There’s also some stats from Juniper Research, which predicts that from 2006-2011 $54.6 billion will be generated from mobile games, both single priced downloads and subscription. Of this, Asia/Pacific will see 38%, Europe 31%, North America 22%, South America 5% and the rest of the world 4%.
