We are looking for a talented individual for this position whose primary responsibilities will be to provide weekly music programming, editorial features, exclusive content and promotions for the digital download stores of select MusicNet partner companies in the European market.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
— Provide editorial programming across all genres on a weekly basis.
— Work with major and independent record labels and content aggregators on promoting new releases, acquiring content exclusives and all related assets.
— Create new music features and promotions.
— Work closely with Label Relations & Content Acquisition departments.
Education, Work Experience and Skills required (qualifications):
— College-level degree in Music, Foreign language or related area, and/or equivalent training, course work or practical experience.
— 2-4 years experience as a music programmer, music review editor or in music marketing required.
— Fluency in French is required (native speakers preferred).
— Familiarity with the French music market, essential trade publications and magazines required.
— Ability to set and meet schedules and deadlines.
— Must be organized, proactive and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
— Must be proficient at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to prioritize and to consistently meet multiple short deadlines.
— Well developed attention to detail.
— Demonstrated success in problem-solving, generating solutions, and managing workload.
— Must be proficient with common business applications (i.e. Microsoft Office and others).
— A good relationship with French labels a big plus.
— A true music aficionado, familiar with artists spanning a wide swath of genres, is preferred.
— Experience in new media or the record label industry is a plus.
— Familiarity with the flow of digital content a plus.
