Middle East regions’s largest mobile distributor Itsalat International i2 has acquired Cellempower, a Dubai-based company specialised in mobile content and mobile marketing, for an undosclosed amount. The acquisition will help the former have a stronger bundling of programmes, content, and applications. The Middle East mobile content market was worth $350 million in 2005, which is expected to boom to $1.7 billion by 2010. i2 was set up in 1993 in Saudi Arabia.
