The Account Manager is an authoritative & respected voice in the interactive media community. This individual will have exceptional sales & negotiation skills, an unshakable client focus, experience in building remarkable on-line and cross platform marketing programs and a passion for online news media.
Specific Attributes & Responsibilities
— Strong relationships in the New York advertising community. Must be able to work well at all levels of the agency & client structure.
— He/She must be able to manage the sales process from prospect identification through close of sale and account renewal, as well as generate creative, on-target ideas and see them through from inception to execution.
— This person should have experience coordinating integrated deals and understand the process within a multimedia company.
— Must have creative, compelling and persuasive presentation skills, and flourish in negotiations.
— A demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative selling and experience in selling to the agency and client sides preferred.
— He/She must be an enthusiastic team player
Requirements
— 5-7 years advertising sales experience
— Experience in key online sales categories including financial services, technology, travel, studio entertainment automotive and luxury goods
— Must be sharp, detail oriented, thorough, and assertive
— Proven track record of driving revenue through the development of long-term relationships with clients and agencies
— Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery
— Strong computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel are required.
— Good communication and presentation skills.
