Job Description
The Qpass OpenMarket business unit is assembling an extraordinary team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and interests. Reporting directly to the Director of Service Marketing of OpenMarket, the Product Manager – User Experience will be a key member of the OpenMarket Product Management team. This individual will be responsible for roadmap strategy and service delivery in the user experience area. You will deliver mission-critical service capabilities to market, focusing on the user experience and interface design of the OpenMarket website. You will own the definition of market requirements, specification of service features and capabilities, and on-time delivery of world-class web-based service interface to our customers. OpenMarket is an on-demand web-based service provider, and you will be playing a strategic role in delivering service capabilities that will help the business differentiate from our competition, and help our customers be more efficient in launching services to market.
Major Responsibilities
1. Roadmap Planning: Development of comprehensive product plans, which incorporates customer requirements, defines the competitive arena, and establishes the objectives, strategies, and actions required to achieve business goals. You will also contribute to the overall business and marketing strategy in your area of focus.
2. Customer Relationships: Develop relationships with strategic content, operator and technology partners to continually understand and develop market requirements and competitive risks and opportunities.
3. Requirements Specification: Prioritize and manage the scope of each product release to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget, while balancing the needs of various organizations, including marketing, sales, engineering, quality services, and operations.
4. Competitive Analysis: You will have the responsibility of collecting up-to-date competitive intelligence data and defining strategy to beat our competition.
5. Cross-Team Leadership: You will be the internal and external authority and advocate for your given area of focus. You will be the main interface to Engineering for requirements definition and release planning. You will also lead and coordinate the service launch across all organizations.
6. Service Optimization and Scalability: Focus on delivering a service that maximizes transaction volume and revenue, and does so with maximum efficiency and scalability.
7. Website Innovation: Build and manage website as a centralized destination for content partners and digital commerce business prospects.
8. Marketing Support: Work with Marketing in defining the positioning and messaging via sales collateral, sales training, and customer communications. Drive the development of the product documentation and education of the entire value chain on capabilities and use.
9. Customer and Sales Support: Provide product expertise to customers/prospects in support of marketing, sales and implementation activities as required.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
1. Minimum of 5 years product management or equivalent experience delivering software, wireless services, or high-tech products. Previous product management responsibility in the field of commerce websites or software platforms driving commerce sites is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years product, program, and/or project management experience in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services.
3. Significant experience generating product requirements from market and customer requirements.
4. Experience in user interface design with focus on efficient workflow and self-administration capabilities.
5. Deep and demonstrable domain expertise in web-based self-service enterprise applications.
6. Knowledge of the mobile commerce industry.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create a compelling positioning/messaging strategy a must.
8. Openly passionate and highly motivated advocate for their product.
9. Able to demonstrate an effective balance of business and technical skills.
10. Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.
11. Passion, clear articulation of ideas, preference for action, and a strong work ethic are critical.
12. Possess strong, pragmatic approach for achieving rapid results, and for thriving in a rapidly evolving, high-risk market space.
13. Strong organizational and project management skills.

Education/Training Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
This is a full-time (exempt) position located in Seattle, WA.
Some travel is required for this position to visit with partners, customers, attend industry events, etc.
