MSN India, which completed six years of its existence in India, has redesigned its home page with a few new features. It has also launched four new channels – MSN Lifestyle, MSN Entertainment, MSN Sports and MSN News & Business. They have also introduced Windows Live Domains, Windows Live Spaces, Live Search and Windows Live Messenger. That’s for the redesign part.
The other offering is a special effects advertising package that helps advertisers target the relevant target group using a contextually relevant branding solution. It’s also known as SFX advertising package. For instance, a person who searches the site for news on sports will perhaps be targeted specifically by a sportswear brand. It will also provide video embedded banners. There was a video embedded banner to promote the Hindi movie ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, where a trailer of the movie ran continuously when a person logged on to the portal.
