Candidate will work as part of the team that is shaping Cisco‘s strategy in the digital home. The position requires work experience within a Hollywood studio or broadcast network, or leading consumer internet video service in marketing/advertising, distribution, or business development. Candidate may also have work experience as a financial analyst within a leading media and entertainment practice.
Must have demonstrated passion and understanding of the entertainment industry and convergence with Web 2.0 services; and 3-5 years work experience in related field.
Job Description
— Position reports to senior director, media and entertainment.
— Conduct research on content companies, internet services, trends and enabling technology companies and provide briefings/insights to inform strategy
— Help scope proposed business terms for strategic content deals, and assist director in developing targeted strategic approach to partnerships in US and international.
— Manage relationships with various internal departments and divisions related to content deals.
Job Skills
— MBA preferred.
— Experience analyzing technical, marketing and/or financial information related to media/entertainment.
— Ability to synthesize complex information quickly and provide insights; develop presentations.
— Strong follow-through, organizational and communications skills.
— Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize for results.
— Good teamwork, ability to work independently on quick timelines.
