Xero Mobile, the till-now vaporware ad-supported MVNO (supposed to be launched in Jan next year), is now in sale talks, the company said today. This comes after a June announcement about an SEC investigation into the company’s founders background. Now it has entered into discussions to be “acquired by a third-party management company“, though it did not name anyone.
The company said that Carl Freer, one of the founders (and one of the ones involved the controversial company Gizmondo), had ceased to be involved in its operations, has been bought out as an investor in the company by shareholders. Some more details here.
