British TV network ITV has created a new role of head of mobile and appointed Melissa Goodwin (previously VP of interactive and telephony at Fremantle) to the post. She will report to Jane Marshall, ITV Consumer’s commercial development director. “At ITV, Goodwin will head ITV’s mobile strategy, looking at commercial development of its mobile portal and maximising distribution of its content across operator portals. She will also look at user-generated content and advertising.”
Guardian: ITV Mobile, part of Jeff Henry’s ITV Consumer division, recently struck two deals to broadcast ITV1 to customers of 3 and Virgin Mobile.
