Programming vet Garth Ancier, one of the execs left without a seat during WB-UPN-CW musical chairs, is headed to AOL-Warner Bros. joint venture IN2TV. While the deal had yet to be signed as of this writing, following some conflicting published reports I’ve confirmed that plans call for Ancier to have his own production company working with Warner Bros. TV Group while overseeing Warner Bros. interests in the JV. Ancier would pick up the JV duties from Eric Frankel, president of Warner Bros Cable Distribution while AOL continues to be represented by Kevin Conroy.
— Ancier was chairman of the WB and has been head of programming for NBC, Fox and the WB. He’s also been at CNN and TBS — when WB founder Jamie Kellner headed Turner Broadcasting — and at Walt Disney Television.
— The Hollywood Reporter has more details about the production aspects.
