IODA, the indie-music digital distribution, marketing, and technology solutions firm is in the process of buying Uploader, a digital music distributor based in London. IODA, based in SF, will add Uploader’s roster of 150 labels to its catalog.
The Uploader team will form IODA’s European operations, which will be based in London with plans to expand presence to Germany and France in the near future.
Uploader was founded in early last year by Martin Goldschmidt, owner and operator of Cooking Vinyl, one of Europe’s oldest independent record companies and home to music legends like Billy Bragg, Richard Thompson, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Frank Black.
