Online Film Festival For Sikhs

PTI reports on an online film festivals for Sikhs, organized by SikhNet called the “SikhNet Youth Online Film Festival”. The theme: “What being a Sikh means to me”. It saw participation from across the globe, and twenty film makers made it to the finals. The winners are listed here. The films are hosted on Google Video. “Sikhi Sambhal Veera“, a film by Harsimrat Singh Gujral and Students of Mata Jai Kaur Public School, New Delhi won the first prize in the Junior category. The contest has been sponsored by a Sikh non-profit – Sikhpoint.com, and Panjab Mall, The Rise of the Khalsa and SecureMart.
Meanwhile, I just noticed that semi-finalists for the Asia-Pacific Mobile FilmMakers Awards have been (finally) announced, but there’s no word yet on when the winners will be chosen.
