UMB Sells CMP Consumer Titles To Wicks For $47 Million; Will Focus On B2B

United Business Media has sold some of the print media titles under its CMP Information subsidiary to The Wicks Group of Companies for $47 million. The portfolio has revenues of around $41.3 million. United wants to focus on CMP’s “pure-play” B2B brands in the US, spanning print, online and events. Titles sold to Wicks include various video and audio magazines, guitar and bass titles and also the Creative Planet and Music Player network of websites. Release
