– Nokia, Warner Bros. in mobile entertainment deal: Nokia will make video clips, ring tones and other entertainment from Warner Bros. available to its phone users…the launch will be in some European and Asian markets with entertainment from the Looney Tunes cartoon series, Batman and Superman, among others.
— Frogger Mobile Makes $10 Million: Konami announced today that the three Frogger mobile titles have passed $10 million in gross sales to date. Those three titles are Frogger, Frogger Puzzle, and Frogger for Prizes. They further announced that they will launch Frogger 25th Evolution in celebration of Frogger’s 25th anniversary.
— LimeLife Launches Online Mobile Content Destination for Women: Limelife, the woman-focused mobile content firm, has launched its destination off-deck site.
— Amp’d Reveals Hybrid Pricing Plans: We mentioned this last week in our interview with Peter Adderton: its Amp’d Mobile Hybrid Plans enables customers to sign up for a 1,000 minute/$50 a month postpaid plan, but have the service billed on a month-to-month basis to a credit or debit card. Customers will not be obligated to sign the usual 18-month contract, Amp’d says.
— Cingular to launch keyboard Nokia phone: Cingular Wireless plans to sell a new BlackBerry-like device from Nokia for as low as $150, perhaps the most aggressive entry yet in an increasingly crowded market of devices with typewriter keypads for wireless e-mail and text messaging.
— New RealArcade Mobile Content Site with PlayPhone: RealNetworks’-owned RealArcade has launched a mobile content site, in partnership with PlayPhone..the site will provide customers access to an extended catalog of more than 150 games and thousands of ringtones and wallpaper graphics for mobile phones.
— Tony Hawk increases mobile presence: Action sports hero Tony Hawk has increased his mobile efforts, expanding from games into ringers and graphics, as well as Tony’s favorite picks of other media.
— Infospace signs retro deals: The big thing about this is its the names from our childhood (mine, at least). Rocky & Bullwinkle, Underdog, Lassie, Dick Tracy, Richie Rich, Mr. Magoo, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Felix the Cat, Peter Cottontail, Hot Stuff, The Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, and Alvin and the Chipmonks. Expect ringtones, ringback tones and wallpapers on this from Infospace.
