UK-based mobile mobile communications solutions provider 2ergo, has bought out Washington DC-based Proteus, for an undisclosed sum. Proteus was part of the disastrous U.S. foray from Japanese mobile content firm For-Side…For-Side bought Proteus couple of years ago. This is among its first exit from its portfolio U.S. companies.
“The Proteus acquisition will enable 2ergo to access every mobile users in the US, as it brings with it direct US carrier connectivity…In South America, Proteus has established a presence through its office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as carrier connectivity in Mexico.”
