UK ISP Pipex is moving into triple play with the $45 million acquisition of phone company Toucan and broadband provider Bulldog from telecom firm IDT. Thisismoney quoted uSwitch comms consultant Chris Wiliiams: “This is a huge financial investment and shows that Pipex fully intends to become one of the top broadband providers in the country and is taking a bullish attitude to getting there. We will see more acquisitions taking place in the communications market and a number of big players will take control of the smaller providers.”
